Electronics companies seem to either have the most forgiving or the most unforgiving return policies. Either they allow you to return things even when they are borderline destroyed, or they do not let you return things even when they are absolutely pristine.
So, which one is Curry’s PC World?
The answer is more complicated than a simple yes or no.

Faulty products must be returned to a store or by mail within 30 days, unwanted products must be returned to a store within 21 days. The most important thing to remember about Curry’s PC World return policy is that it is primarily concerned with how a product looks. That means that if you are returning it because it is faulty or broken, then the fault or breakage should be clear by looking at it. That much is obvious.
What is not so obvious is what happens if you return an unwanted item after you have already taken it out of its packaging. What do you do then?
How to Return an Unwanted Item?
You can return an unwanted item only so long as you return it within 21 days of purchasing it. In that case it has to be wrapped in its original packaging, unopened. If you do that, then you can return your item for a full refund or equivelant exchange for any in-store item.
You can still return an unwanted item within 14 days of buying it if it has been opened. In that case, however, you will have to return it in a “new condition”. That means it has not been started up, had anything installed, or had any additions or software put onto it.

In short, while you can only return an unwanted item in “new” condition, you can make it “new” even if you have used it. Although it is always safer to actually return it new.

How to Return a Faulty Item?
You can return a faulty item to a Curry’s PC World within 30 days of receiving it. As before, you need both a proof of purchase and proof that is a faulty item. You will get a full refund for this.
Most times, the proof that it is a faulty item is the item itself. A computer that will not turn on, a hose that is visibly broken, etc. The item needs to be unambiguously faulty out of the box.
The process for returning it is the same as with an unwanted item. You can return it to the store or return it by mail. There are unique forms for both small and large item returns by mail.
How to Return a Damaged Item?
Returning a damaged item is more simple than you probably think. Most people worry that you will have to somehow prove that it arrived damaged, rather than being damaged from use.
