You may be unfamiliar with Gucci’s return policy. Like other luxury brand return policies, you want to avoid paying extraneous costs or losing money in the process. That’s why we’ve compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions about the Gucci return policy.

What is Gucci’s Return Policy?
Gucci accepts multiple types of returns within 30 days of purchase, including mail-in and in-store returns. However, whether you’re wanting to return lingerie, beauty products, handbags, gift items purchased on Gucci.com, or other items, you need to meet the terms and conditions of their return policy.
Gucci’s official return policy, as stated on their website, notes that you can make eligible returns of Gucci products bought online from Gucci.com via mail or a store location. You must meet the return eligibility requirements, including those related to the return time frame, product condition, condition of tags, and more.
Note that Gucci.com does not offer exchanges. You can only get a refund for returned merchandise, then use that refund money to make a new order online.

Can I return to a Gucci Outlet?
Gucci’s return policy states that you can make certain returns to stores in-person, regardless of the location. However, you cannot return Gucci products to Gucci outlets. Also, note that in-person returns of Gucci products must take place within the United States.
Can you return an online purchase to the store?
The good news is that Gucci does accept returns for products purchased online. You can actually return online purchases to any Gucci store. If you can’t get to a Gucci store, however, you can also return online purchases by mailing them to the return address listed on the shipping label the product came to you in.
If you choose to return via mail, you need to take the following steps:
- Repackage the purchase in the box it came to you in
- Print your order’s invoice and include it in the box
- Make a note of which items you want to return and why
- Use Gucci’s provided prepaid shipping label and paste it on the package
- Drop off the return package at a FedEx location
How strict is the Gucci return policy?
Since Gucci takes care to clearly state its return policy and its terms online, the policy is fairly strict and final. Gucci enforces all rules regarding return time frames, tag policy, and packaging policy enforced when it comes to returns.
Rules are also strict when it comes to refunds. For example, if you’re returning a gift item that someone purchased on Gucci.com, the refund must go to the credit card used to purchase it.
The same goes for 4Gift Gucci gift refunds – they will go to the gift contributor rather than the gift recipient.
Can I return my Gucci products after 30 days?
The general time frame for Gucci returns is 30 days. You must meet the return terms and conditions, as outlined in the next section, and return within 30 days from the original date of delivery. When it comes to Gucci beauty products, however, you only have 10 days from the original date of delivery to make your returns.
Are there return exceptions?
There are several actions that will result in Gucci not accepting a return, including:
- Not using Gucci’s provided prepaid shipping label for mail-in returns
- Letting your Gucci products become destroyed or damaged before you return them
- Opening or unsealing beauty products before returning them
- Taking the cellophane off of beauty products before returning them
- Returning beauty products more than 10 days after the original date of delivery
- Returning items without the original tags intact
- Trying to return personalized or made-to-order products (DIY items are “final sale” and cannot get canceled, modified, returned, or refunded)
- Trying to return lingerie products after you’ve already broken the protection seal
- Trying to return Gucci corporate gifts/products at an in-store location (only accepted via mail return)
- Trying to return Gucci décor items without first consulting Gucci for special return instructions
Does Gucci have free returns?
Free returns are essentially a type of return where the seller pays for the cost of returning via mail. Gucci does offer free, prepaid shipping labels with online orders so that you can return your products without having to pay for shipping costs.
Some companies also include policies in “free returns” that require stores to accept a return regardless of the reason. While Gucci doesn’t specifically state this sentiment in their policy, they do allow you to return any product as long as you follow the stated guidelines.
How long do Gucci refunds take?
If you attempt to get a refund on a return, note that mail-in returns won’t get processed until about 7-10 days after there is a receipt. At that point, you’ll receive a confirmation via email.
Refunds get issued to Visa, AMEX, MasterCard, and Discover prepaid gift cards, as well.
If you made a down payment on your original order, that part of the payment won’t get refunded until the return gets processed at a warehouse. Take note that shipping charges from the original purchase cannot get refunded.
