Harvey Norman offers price matching for up to seven days post purchase on any identical product. You do have to include shipping and installation costs if that applies to the product. On the day of purchase or within 7 days of purchase, Harvey Norman will match or beat any legitimate competitor’s quoted price.

Does Harvey Norman Have a Price Adjustment Policy?
Harvey Norman does have a price adjustment policy, although they don’t necessarily call it that. You won’t find a separate tab that is conveniently labeled “price adjustment policy.” Instead, it’s right there in the price matching policy.
You have seven days after purchasing a product from Harvey Norman to contact their customer service department and request a partial refund that will make the difference between what you paid and the price of an identical product from a reputable retailer.

Are There Any Exceptions?
There are exceptions to every rule, of course. The only difference here is, they are rules more than exceptions.
- The price-matched item must be identical
- The competitor must have the item in stock (can’t be sold out)
- You have to provide details (URL, Competitor’s advert)
- No bundle offers, free items, clearance items, limited quantities, or purchases on consumer finance
- Only valid for seven days after purchase
So it’s not completely wide open. The price matching policy isn’t a giant free for all. Even large, successful companies have to draw the line somewhere.
Does Harvey Norman Price Match Amazon?
There’s an interesting and semi-combative history between Harvey Norman and Amazon.
When Amazon moved operations into Australia, Gerry Harvey, founder of Harvey Norman was quoted as saying, “Amazon doesn’t sell an awful lot of the products we’re in,” Mr. Harvey told news.com.au. “They’ll compete with us on some things, maybe 15 to 20 percent of our floor space.”
He also issued a direct challenge to Amazon on price matches, claiming that Harvey Norman wouldn’t allow Amazon to have a foothold in Australia by undermining Harvey Norman’s price matching policies.
In other words, Harvey Norman definitely price matches Amazon.
Does Harvey Norman Price Match Online?
Harvey Norman’s price matching policy does not include an exclusion clause for online products. In fact, Harvey Norman’s boisterous and combative response to Amazon’s arrival, who is exclusively an online retailer, is revealing of Norman Harvey’s price matching policies online.
If you purchase a product from Harvey Norman, such as a consumer electronic device, at a cost of $49.99 and the next day you see the same product on Amazon for $39.99, Harvey Norman will refund you the $10 difference.
Massive retailers such as Amazon essentially force other retailers, such as Harvey Norman, to price match them. Amazon’s Prime is almost entirely a money loss for Amazon, but it leveraged to drive out other businesses, whom Amazon scoops up and uses to drive up their profit margins.
It’s very difficult to directly compete with a business that is so large, that its entire online and delivery platform is a net loss in annual revenue. Amazon rakes in massive profits in many other ways, which allows them to make up for the losses from Prime.

Does Harvey Norman Price Match JB HiFi?
Harvey Norman does price match against JB HiFi, and the practice is mutual between the two companies, as they both produce and sell very similar products. Both companies have their base in Australia and are highly competitive with one another.
In fact, JB is one of the companies that Harvey Norman constantly checks against, to ensure that JB is not undercutting Harvey Norman’s prices on identical products. It’s not at all likely that you will actually be able to find a device at Harvey Norman that is priced lower at JB.
The reason is that its probably already been matched by Harvey Norman, as they consistently pour through their primary competitor’s products. Harvey Norman doesn’t play around and JB is the same way, constantly studying the prices of their competitor’s products.
Neither company will allow itself to be undercut by the other and you will find that JB price matches just as aggressively as Harvey Norman.

Does Harvey Norman Price Match Bing Lee?
Bing Lee is a leading Australian retailer and Harvey Norman explicitly states that they will price-match any leading retailer in Australia. Bing Lee falls directly under the umbrella of that definition.
Although Bing Lee’s retail is primarily consumer electronics, Harvey Norman has a large division of consumer electronics as well, though there is more to Harvey Norman than just that sector.
Anything that you buy at Harvey Norman can be price matched against an identical product from Bing Lee.

Harvey Norman has a pretty solid price matching guarantee and you will find that they are honest about the guarantee, so long as you stay within the rules stated above. You can rest assured that Harvey Norman will price-match any major retailer in Australia, as well as Amazon.
