Rebel Sport does price match its competitors under specific circumstances. The retailer’s price match promise policy differs slightly between its Australia and New Zealand locations.

Does Rebel Sport Offer Price Matching?

Yes, Rebel Sport will price match competitors’ lower prices on identical items. This price match guarantee applies to customers in Australia, including online purchases.

In New Zealand locations, Rebel Sport’s price match promise takes things a step further. You’ll get the price matched at 10% lower than the competitor’s charge.

For example, you purchase an item from Rebel Sport in one of its New Zealand stores for $10. A few days later, you see the exact item at a competitor for $8.

You bring proof of the competitor’s price into Rebel Sport’s location. You’ll get the item for $7.20. Rebel Sport will end up refunding you the difference of $2.80.

Does Rebel Sport Have a Price Adjustment Policy?

Rebel Sport does have a price adjustment policy. The retailer will offer price adjustments or matches based on certain criteria.

Criteria and Requirements for Australia

First, the product has to be the same brand, size, color, and model. If you buy a pair of black Nike shoes in a size 9, you can’t get a price adjustment for a size 10 pair of Nikes in blue sold at a competitor. In this case, the shoe model number must also be the same.

Second, the item has to be in stock and available for delivery within the next 7 days. Let’s say you buy a shirt from Rebel Sport and find a competitor’s advertised it for less. However, the shirt’s no longer available. Rebel Sport will not make an adjustment or match.

Third, Rebel Sport doesn’t offer price adjustments on items that a competitor is liquidating, selling at a wholesale outlet, or as part of a commercial volume discount.

Fourth, the item has to be from a competitor that’s doing business in Australia, with either a physical location or website. Finally, the price must be for the item only and not include taxes, fees, or shipping.

Criteria and Requirements for New Zealand

Price adjustments and matching in New Zealand apply to in-stock items sold in physical stores. The adjusted item can’t be from a clearance or liquidation sale or a wholesale outlet. Proof of the competitor’s price must also be brought into a Rebel Sport store in New Zealand.

Are There Exceptions?

Based on Rebel Sport’s listed terms and conditions, there does not appear to be any additional exceptions to the price match policy. The entire set of criteria for Australia and New Zealand locations are spelled out on the company’s respective websites.

Does Rebel Sport Price Match Amazon?

Whether Rebel Sport price matches items from Amazon is a gray area. Any person selling through Amazon fulfillment would need to be based in Australia.

However, Amazon does have an online site that is based in Australia. So, technically this would meet one of Rebel Sport’s criteria. The item sold on Amazon’s Australian site would also need to meet all the other criteria, including not being on sale or liquidation.

That being said, it’s probably best to check with Rebel Sport in Australia. There are quite a few products on Amazon that may not fit the bill. Checking in person at a store or through the retailer’s customer service line should provide you with a definitive answer on specific items.

Based on the language on Rebel Sport’s New Zealand site, it does not appear they will price match Amazon. The online giant does not currently operate an online site from New Zealand or one specific to the country.

Does Rebel Sport Price Match Online?

Rebel Sport does price match online as long as the retailer operates in Australia or New Zealand. Products must match all of Rebel Sport’s price match criteria.

Customers in Australia can also get a price match online using Rebel Sport’s webchat during checkout. Buyers can also call a customer service line for online price matching.

New Zealand customers, however, do not have this option. They must go into a physical store.
