Schuh is one of the leading shoe retailers in the United Kingdom and Ireland. They have well over one hundred stores across the two countries. They also have one of the most generous returns policies out of all of the major shoe retailers.

What is Schuh return policy?

Schuh return policy is generous, providing customer with up to 365-days to return any shoes that you have purchased. This is under the assumption that they are in an unused condition. You will not be able to return used shoes unless they are faulty.

Once Dillard’s accepts your item return, you will be eligible to get a refund based on the original form of payment. Note that there are certain items that Dillard’s will not accept for returns, which we’ll explore later in this article

Can you return an online purchase to the store

Mostly, yes. However, it will be dependent on which country you made the online purchase from and which store you are heading to.

If you have purchased from Schuh in Ireland then you will have paid in €. This means that you will not be able to return the shoes to any British stores. The same applies if you buy from a British store. You will not be able to return to an Irish store.

Basically, if you have made an online purchase in a different currency to the country you live in, then you will only be able to return the product by mailing it back to Schuh. You will receive your refund in the original currency that you paid.

How strict is the Schuh return policy?

Having a 365-days return policy on their shoes may seem pretty generous, but there are going to be some restrictions in place.

The main restriction is that the shoe must be in unused condition. This means that the shoe must be in the original packaging and can be resold by Schuh.

This does not impact your statutory rights if you have purchased the shoes online. If you have purchased the shoes online, then you have a right to check out the shoe as you would in the store i.e. try it out and maybe walk around a little bit. If you cause any damage to the shoe, then you may still be able to receive a refund for shoes purchased online, but it may not be a full refund.

Schuh is pretty strict when they look at shoes. They know whether something has been used.

Schuh will be able to make an exchange on shoes providing the shoes are returned to them in an unused condition. You have up to 365-days to take the shoes back.

Schuh Refund Policy

Assuming the shoes are returned unused, then Schuh will be able to refund what you paid for them. You can do this any time within a year of purchase.

Does Schuh take returns without a receipt?

No.

Schuh will not accept returns without a receipt. If you are returning an online purchase then you will need to bring along the delivery note from the package that your shoe was shipped in. If you do not have that, then you can print out the receipt from the Schuh website or your email.

Does Schuh accept returns after 30 days?

Yes. Schuh will allow you to return most products up to a year after purchase.

What items Cannot be returned to Schuh?

Outside of warranty claims, you will not be able to return shoes that are in a used condition.

Schuh will also not let you return socks that have been removed from their packaging, whether they have been used or not.

Other than this, there are no restrictions. You will even be able to return clearance items to Schuh.

Does Schuh have free returns?

If you head to a Schuh store, then there will be no fee for the returns.

If you opt to send the shoes directly to the Schuh returns department, then you will have to pay postage and packaging.

If you are refunding a purchase from Schuh in Ireland, then you will need to pay €3 for the return. This will be deducted from your refund. There will be no fee for exchanges.

How long do Schuh refunds take?

If you head to a store, then the Schuh refund can be issued right away. If you send the shoes to the Schuh returns department, then it can take up to 10-days for the refund to be issued.

Can I return shoes after wearing them?

You will only be able to return shoes to Schuh if they are not used.

You are free to try out the shoes to see whether they fit. However, you won’t be able to use them as a shoe. Schuh really wants you to decide as to whether you want to keep them within a few minutes.

The one exception to this rule is if you need to make a warranty claim on the shoes. If the shoes are broken due to a manufacturing defect, then you will be able to return them whenever you wish.
