New and gently used products can be returned to a Sephora store, or shipped to the company, within 60 days of purchase. For in-store returns, all you need to do is bring the item(s) you’d like to return and an associate will process the return and refund your money.
With that said, the way in which you receive your funds will vary depending on the time you’re returning the item:
For items returned within 30 days of purchase, you can receive a full refund to your original payment method. If you paid with a credit/debit card, your refund will go to that card.
For Paypal, Sephora gift cards, online store credit, or a JC Penney card, you’ll receive your refund in the form of a Sephora gift card.
Any returns made between 31-60 days after purchase will be refunded to you in the form of Sephora store credit. This can be used at any physical store but not on the official website.
