Skims has become my new go-to when it comes to shapewear. I love their products, and I greatly admire how they have been setting new beauty standards for everybody, whether you are a size two or 2X.
If you have ever ordered from this solutions-oriented company, you know that their shapewear is genius in how it fits any figure. But sometimes, things don’t fit quite right, or they look different than you expected. When purchasing online, it’s not uncommon to run into this snag.
So, what about Skim’s return policy? How does that work?
All domestic orders from Skims can be returned within 30 days of the time you received the product for a store credit or full refund.

A Brief History of Skims
In June 2019, Skims was founded by the beautiful Kim Kardashian and Swedish businessman Jens Grede. The company focuses on including all body types and was listed as one of the most influential companies of 2022, according to Time Magazine.
Sales climbed almost immediately; as of January 2022, it was valued at more than 3.2 billion dollars.
What is Skim’s Return Policy?
Domestic orders from Skims must be returned in 30 days from the day you received the product for a store credit or refund. The product must not be worn or washed and must also be in its original condition, with all liners and tags attached.
You also need to be sure to include the original packing slip with your return. If you are returning multiple items, do not combine them, as it will slow up the process on the company’s end.
The company also asks that you wear your underwear when you try on your purchase for cleanliness reasons.
If the company sees that any of the above-mentioned factors of the return policy are not followed, it can deny the return.

How To Return A Skims Product
- Follow the steps at the portal
- Create the return in the system
- Print out the return shipping label and affix it to the box
- Bring the box to the desired return carrier
For a return in the United States, follow the steps at the portal to request a return. Once your return has been created in the system, you can print a pre-paid shipping label that will be emailed to you. Please include the item’s original packing slip when you send it back and bring the package to any US Postal Office or USPS locations.
Note that Skims can not create a return label for an APO/FPO address.
Return shipping and reverse duties are your responsibility for an international return, but the policy is the same as the domestic return policy.
How Strict is the Skims Return Policy?
The return policy for skims is fairly straightforward. All domestic orders must be returned within 30 days of the day you got the product for a store credit or refund.

How To Ship an Item Back to Skims
- Attach the shipping label provided to the box
- Bring the box to the US Postal Service or USPS
- Save your return receipt
Once you have created a return and a pre-paid shipping label has been emailed to you, print it out and affix it to the box. You can then bring the box to the US Postal Office or USPS.
Skims Exchange Policy
Skims does not currently offer an exchange program. Instead, they recommend requesting a return for the undesired item and placing a new order for the desired item.
Skims Refund Policy
Once the company has received your item in their warehouse, it will be inspected. You will then be notified whether or not your item qualifies for a refund. This process usually takes up to 7 business days from when your item is delivered to the warehouse.
If Skims accepts your return, you will be issued a refund that will be applied to your payment methods, such as credit or debit card. These refunds can take between three to five business days to show up at your financial institution.
If your return is being processed for a store credit, Skims will send you a gift card with the amount of your refund once your return order is en route. The gift card will be emailed to the email address associated with the order.
Who Pays The Return Shipping Charge?
In the case of domestic returns, a $6 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund price, making you responsible. If you are getting a store credit or Skims gift card, then the shipping fee will be waived.
Any initial shipping fees on the original order are not eligible for a refund.
